The organization of WYD Lisbon 2023 is encouraging the reception of WYD Lisbon 2023 pilgrims by Portuguese families. Families residing in the Dioceses of Lisbon, Santarem and Setubal who wish to host young pilgrims should register with their respective parishes.
The Salesians and the Salesian Parishes of Santo Condestável and Nossa Senhora dos Prazeres (Lisbon), S. Vicente de Alcabideche and S. José (Setúbal) will host the young people of the Salesian Youth Movement from around the world who will participate in WYD in Lisbon.
The Welcoming Families should make themselves available to receive and lodge at least two pilgrims between the 31st and 7th of August, providing a place to sleep, personal hygiene and breakfast.
For the organization of WYD, the welcoming of pilgrims is “a way to participate in World Youth Day, welcoming Christ in their homes and helping young people to have the best experience possible during the week of WYD”.
