Father Nuno Amador, responsible for University Pastoral in Lisbon and member of the Pastoral Direction of World Youth Day 2023 was the guest of another WYD comBosco program.
In an interview conducted by Mariana Lagoas and Henrique Laureano, the priest spoke about the importance of the emergence of World Youth Days (WYD) and its relevance to the Church. “World Youth Days are a great intuition of Pope John Paul II who brought the Church closer to the youth and youth of the Church,” Fr. Nuno Amador.Thought for young people, but “open to all”, this great “pilgrimage of faith” allows all those who participate in it to “rediscover prayer and reconciliation and approach the Eucharist”, he concluded. Recalling his participation in the different WYD, the priest highlighted wyd in Rome in 2000 as the “most striking”, since it was the first in which he participated and the one that made him understand that he was not alone in “his faith”. Father Nuno Amador also asks young people to start preparing their participation in World Youth Day, “praying for the Day”. For the priest it is important that every young person can feel that he is “called to participate in the construction of the Day”, thus being part of this “renewal of Youth Ministry”. Promoted by WYD DON BOSCO, WYD comBosco is a weekly radio program that brings together information, music, testimonies and good conversations about the different World Youth Days. It premieres on Thursday at 5:20 p.m. on Salesian Radio.
