The day dawned warm, after a night in which the farewell of those who left, right after the Sending Mass, also warmed the hearts of those who remained.
On this seventh day, WYD DON BOSCO 23 offered interested groups a trip to Fatima, with the aim of visiting that sacred place.
With the support of an itinerary, made available in the WYD DON BOSCO 23 app, more than 2,000 pilgrims headed to Fatima. At 5 pm, a Eucharist took place in the precincts of the Shrine, celebrated in English. Before returning, many pilgrims consecrated themselves individually to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
This visit to Fatima marks the end of the participation of the Salesian Youth Movement in the World Youth Day Lisbon 2023. There were intense days, in which joy, faith and sharing, together with all the young people, were the protagonists.
The Salesian Youth Movement has identified young people who stood out for their contagious joy throughout World Youth Day.
Thank you to all the young pilgrims for your witness, the charism of Don Bosco is alive within you and the Salesian “imprint” has certainly been imprinted on this WYD Lisbon 2023.
