On June 9 and 10, the Campo da Graça, a venue that will host some of the central events of the meeting between the young people and Pope Francis, opened doors and made known everything that has already been done.
The Local Organizing Committee (COL) was present at Campo da Graça, on June 9th, and was received by the vice-president of the Lisbon City Council, Filipe Anacoreta.
The visit began with a short speech by the vice-president of the Lisbon City Council, who took the opportunity to thank all the work developed by the members of Col. “on behalf of the city
we want to thank you very much for your work,” he said.
There was also time to know all the layout and logistics of the space that will host the thousands of incoming pilgrims for this great meeting that is World Youth Day.
On June 10th, Campo da Graça was open to all who wanted to see and visit, as to make known what was done in the rehabilitation of the old landfill of Beirolas, now transformed in an urban park.
