Today, June 22, the accreditation process opened for media who wish to accompany the participation of the Salesian Youth Movement in World Youth Day Lisbon 2023.
Accredited journalists and media professionals will be able to be present and cover some events promoted by the Salesians, namely: the Eucharist presided over by the Rector Major and which will take place on 2 August in the Church of Nossa Senhora Auxiliadora in the Prazeres Parish in Lisbon; the SYM Forum which will be attended by the Rector Major of the Salesians and the Mother General of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians and will take place on August 2 at the Salesians of Lisbon; the SYM Festival which will take place at the Salesians of Estoril on August 2; as well as the visit to Fatima which is scheduled for August 7. There will also be a press conference (date not yet confirmed), which will be attended by the Rector Major of the Salesians and the Mother General of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, as well as the SDB and FMA Youth Ministry Delegates.
Accredited professionals will also be able, on specific request, to accompany the different groups of SYM pilgrims.
There will be a Press Centre, located at the Salesians in Lisbon, which can be used by journalists and media professionals. On SYM Day, there will also be a Press Centre at the Salesianos in Estoril.
