Next Saturday, June 24, the Diocese of Setúbal will gather in the city centre for the blessing and sending forth of pilgrims and volunteers for World Youth Day Lisbon 2023.
The youth of the diocese have been making a spiritual journey for this great event that will take place from August 1 to 6 in Lisbon, and more than 2000 thousand people have already registered as pilgrims and volunteers.
With the motto “Setúbal sets out in haste to WYD”, young people will have the opportunity to experience various activities throughout the day. They will be able to listen to testimonies and get to know some emblematic places of the city, which, due to its proximity to Lisbon, will also welcome pilgrims and promote activities throughout the week of WYD.
To conclude the day, at 4 p.m., the Diocesan Administrator of Setúbal, Father José Lobato, will bless and send out the pilgrims, volunteers and host families for World Youth Day.
