The organization of World Youth Day Lisbon 2023 is receiving national and international applications for Ensemble23, a multicultural group of volunteer artists who will integrate the official cast of the main events of the meeting.
The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of World Youth Day (WYD) Lisbon 2023 has opened the applications for Ensemble23, the multicultural group of volunteer artists who will integrate the official cast of the main events of the meeting. The existing vacancies are for the areas of dance, song and theatre.
The Ensemble is already part of the history of World Youth Day, having existed in the various previous editions. However, for the first time, it will be open to young people from all over the world and not only from Portugal.
The purpose of this initiative is to transform the artistic process into a pastoral and cultural challenge, bringing together different cultures and promoting diversity. It is intended that young people of different nationalities can share the stage, uniting culturally, and creating a healthy environment for diversity.
Ensemble23 intends to mobilise around 300 young volunteers, aged between 18 and 35, from various countries, including Portugal. To participate, candidates must have some artistic training and be fluent in English.
After pre-registration, those interested will be contacted by the Pastoral Care and Events department of COL, who will provide the audition guide and the final form to be filled in. The final form should be completed in accordance with the audition guide by 11.59 pm (GMT) on 31 March.
ENSEMBLE23 members must be in Lisbon from 12 June in order to dedicate themselves exclusively to rehearsals.
