On December 17, the Late Night WYD, a weekly meeting promoted by the Council, was dedicated to the presentation of St. John Bosco, patron saint of WYD Lisbon 2023.
Luís Almeida, SDB, at the invitation of the Council, presented St. John Bosco, Father and Teacher of Youth. The presentation centred on 3 central points characteristic of our holy Founder: Don Bosco as a man of trust in Providence; Don Bosco as a man of great Marian devotion; and Don Bosco as the holy educator who developed an educational method based on reason, religion and loving kindness, the famous Preventive System.
The event, which took place at the headquarters of the COL in Lisbon, was attended by several young people, including some from the SYM. The presentation was followed by a time for questions and answers, which ended with a gathering of young people.
