In the early afternoon, the young people of the SYM of Portugal debuted their participation in the animation of the Youth Festival with a parade in Chiado. A group of 14 students from the Musicentro of the Salesians of Lisbon made the party and got Chiado and Rossio dancing.

They promised to liven up the streets of the city center with music and that’s exactly what they did. At 3pm, a small group of students from the Salesianos de Lisboa music school took those walking the streets of Chiado by surprise.

In the streets of downtown Lisbon, full of pilgrims, the public reaction was spontaneous and, as they walked down Rua do Carmo and around Rossio, the crowd following the fanfare grew larger.

The brass and percussion group performed for almost an hour. Trumpets, trombones, saxophones, bombs and drums were enough to make a great party.
