The coordinating team of WYD DON BOSCO 23 was present on February 13th at the joint meeting of SDB and FMA of pastoral coordinators, in order to assess what has already been done and what still needs to be done.
João Fialho, the organisation’s coordinator, highlighted the registration, up to now, of 22 groups, equivalent to about 1500 pilgrims.
He also presented the musical about Don Bosco – which is being prepared by Musicentro of Lisbon and WYD DON BOSCO 23 – as the only project approved so far for the Youth Festival. There are, however, other projects awaiting approval.
As for the Sunday Schools, available on the website, João Fialho indicated that these have already been downloaded more than 200 times, which shows, in his opinion, that the groups of the Salesian Youth Movement are already preparing their spiritual journey towards World Youth Day.
Regarding the reception of pilgrims, Father Álvaro Lago, a member of the coordination team of WYD DON BOSCO 23, recalled that it is necessary to issue a “personalized invitation” to each family so that they can receive pilgrims in their homes.
Those responsible also emphasized the need to register volunteers, who will have part of the registration fee paid.
At the meeting, it was also decided to launch a fundraising campaign on the Don Bosco Mission platform.
