On June 10th, Portugal Day, Camões, and the Portuguese communities, as well as the Holy Guardian Angel of Portugal, Domingos Fez Vital, ambassador of Portugal together with the Holy See, granted an interview to the World Youth Day Lisbon 2023 and, also to the Ecclesia Agency.
The ambassador said that the meeting, which will take place in August, will be a very important moment for “all of us, for the country, but for the Church as well”
The representative of Portugal to the Holy See also expressed his gratitude to all that have been actively working to make WYD happen.
He also said that it is important to call on young people to have “courage” and to “change the world.” For this, Domingos Fezas Vital resorted to the words of Pope Francis and,
like him, he called on young people to ignore the call to isolation” and follow their “dream”.
