The World Youth Day Foundation Lisbon 2023 and the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network have signed a partnership that makes available World Youth Day meditations on the “Click to Pray” app during the event.
In addition to the official Lisbon 2023 World Youth Day app, “Click To Pray”, the official Pope’s prayer app, will release three daily meditations so that young people from around the world can pray with and for Lisbon 2023 World Youth Day. From July 30th to August 6th, the daily meditations on the app, available, in text and audio, will be the meditations of Lisbon 2023 WYD, following the prayer itinerary defined by the spirituality team. Like what happened at the 2019 World Youth Day in Panama, this agreement allows for an expansion of the number of people praying for Lisbon 2023 World Youth Day. “Click To Pray” is available in seven languages, German, traditional Chinese, Spanish, French, English, Italian, and Portuguese.
The Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network will also make the free “Click To Pray eRosary” app available to Lisbon 2023 WYD, which teaches how to pray the rosary for peace.
The partnership also provides the release of a video by Pope Francis for Lisbon 2023 WYD, produced by the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network, with Pope Francis’ request for prayer for the young people participating in the event. The video will be released in 23 languages by the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network and Vatican Media and will be broadcast during World Youth Day.
