The WYD Lisbon 2023 Foundation and the insurance company Fidelidade signed a partnership agreement. The insurance company Fidelidade will provide coverage and protection of assistance services up to and during WYD Lisbon 2023, which will take place from August 1 to 6, 2023.
Fidelidade will provide Civil Liability, Work Insurance, Volunteer, Personal Accidents, Health, Property and Auto insurance and assistance services to volunteers and all pilgrims who will participate in WYD Lisbon 2023.
Fidelidade will ensure the best safety conditions for the young people taking part in Lisbon 2023 WYD and access to essential services, providing telemedical consultations or payment of medical expenses in the event of an accident.
At the signing ceremony, the President of the Lisbon 2023 WYD Foundation, D. Américo Aguiar, stressed the importance of the agreement. “The partnership with Fidelidade is an essential support on the road to this World Youth Day, allowing the protection of the volunteers and pilgrims who register to participate in this great gathering”.
“Fidelidade could not fail to support the organisation of such a relevant event for young people as World Youth Day,” said the president of Fidelidade, Jorge Magalhães Correia.
On the occasion, the president of Fidelidade announced that within the partnership established, and based on its corporate social responsibility policy, Fidelidade will create a volunteer exchange for its employees, from Portugal and the different geographies where the insurer is present, who wish to participate as volunteers in WYD Lisbon 2023, for 15 days, the week before and the week of the meeting.
“With the partnership with WYD Lisbon 2023, we intend to provide all those who join this great international gathering with a safe experience, but also to allow our employees, who are able and willing to volunteer, to have a remarkable experience”, he explained.
