Three months before the World Youth Day, Pope Francis spoke again to the young people who are preparing for the great meeting.
It was through a video that Francis acknowledged that there must be several concerns in the mind of each pilgrim at this moment. However, the Pope affirmed that those who see the WYD as a “dream” should be excited to participate.
The Pope asked young people to see this meeting with “hope” and ensured that during that week, everyone will grow and acquire values that they did not have before. Values that will stay for life, and with that, it will convey the message that the Church has young people’s strength.
Francis gave also a tip to prepare well for this World Youth Day. He asked every pilgrim look at their “roots” because it is the only way to gain the necessary wisdom for this great event.
“I await you in Lisbon,” that’s how Francis says goodbye, confirming once again he is traveling to the Portuguese capital.
