At the beginning of the month, the WYD Lisbon 2023 Foundation presented the Meditations of the Rosary for World Youth Day Lisbon 2023 adapted for pictographic language and Braille. The meditations are also available in Portuguese sign language and in audio format. The aim of the initiative is to reach the greatest number of people.
The book presents the WYD Lisbon 2023 Rosary Meditations adapted to pictographic language, recognized in 38 languages, to Braille, and also gives access through a QR code to versions in Portuguese Sign Language and in audio format, to be accessible to the greatest number of people.
The work was produced in partnership with the Centre of Resources for Digital Inclusion of the School of Education and Social Sciences of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria.
D. Américo Aguiar, president of the WYD Lisbon 2023 Foundation, praised the initiative that “will greatly facilitate the arrival of our brothers and sisters who have different needs from ours”, reinforcing the attempt of the organization to “respond to the needs of each person”, so that “everyone feels respected and welcomed”.
The book was distributed to the various Diocesan Organizing Committees and Religious Movements.
