On Sunday, July 23, a group of young people who will participate in the World Youth Day Lisbon 2023, through WYD DON BOSCO 23, gathered to receive the blessing and sending of the diocesan bishop of São José dos Campos, in São Paulo, Brazil.
It was during the celebration of the Holy Mass on the 16th Sunday of Ordinary Time, at the Cathedral of São Paulo, that Bishop José Teixeira met with a group of young people, from the six cities that make up the diocese, for a moment of prayer and sharing.
Accompanied by replicas of the WYD symbols, the Pilgrim Cross and the icon of Our Lady, the young people were thus blessed and sent towards WYD Lisbon 2023.
In the end, a personalized kit was given to each of the young people, which will help them live not only the week of the Journey, but also the week that precedes it, in which the group will live in the Diocese of Porto a moment of pre-Journey, also known as “Days in the Dioceses”.
