On 27 June last, the coordination of the organisation WYD DON BOSCO 23 met with the joint Parish Organising Committee (COP) of the Parishes of Nossa Senhora dos Prazeres and Santo Condestável (both Salesian), to prepare their participation in World Youth Day Lisbon 2023 (WYD).
Among the main issues discussed was the welcome of the SYM pilgrims from all over the world, who will be accommodated in the territories of the two parishes, as well as the issue of volunteering.
As far as accommodation is concerned, the idea is that all the available spaces in both parishes may be used, without forgetting the civil institutions that are in the territory of both parishes, namely the public schools, as well as the families living in that geographical area.
With regard to the question of volunteering, it is important that both parish volunteers and those of the organisation WYD DON BOSCO 23 be available to welcome all the young people who arrive to take part in World Youth Day.
During the meeting there was also time to recall that the Cross of the Diocesan Organizing Committee (COD) will be in the Vicariate where both Parishes are located, during the month of November.
