The symbols of The World Youth Day that are on pilgrimage through the Diocese of Bragança-Miranda arrived at the Parish of St. John Bosco in Mirandela on the 29th.
The Pilgrim Cross and the icon of Our Lady Salus Populi Romani arrived in the Salesians of Mirandela. The arrival of the symbols, August 29, had the participation of the Salesian and parish community at various times beginning with the Eucharist at 7 pm.
A moment of conviviality followed, with shared dinner, a prayer concert with the hymns of WYD. The first day of the passage of the symbols through the Parish of St. John Bosco concluded with the vigil, with adoration of the cross, from 23 hours. The worship of the cross continued throughout the night in a personal way by shifts.

The pilgrimage was followed by several nearby institutions: Lar de Santana, Home of Peace (Mercy), Home of the Warm Land, S. Salvador, Parish and Home of Frechas and Cachão and the return to the Parish of St. John Bosco.
After the 7:00 p.m. Eucharist, the Salesian community of Mirandela said goodbye to the symbols and followed, in procession, to the statue of St. John Paul II, next to the Church of Our Lady of the Incarnation.
