WYD Lisbon 2023: Registrations for WYD to open in October

Soon the organization of World Youth Day will open registration for the great youth event.

A few days ago it was announced that the opening of registrations should happen by the end of October and that Pope Francis will be the first pilgrim to register.

There is less than a year until the event and the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) continues to mobilize young people from around the world to participate in WYD Lisbon 2023. In August, a small delegation from the LOC, led by the Auxiliary Bishop of Lisbon, D. Américo Aguiar, visited Brazil with this purpose and attended the 59th General Assembly of the Bishops of Brazil. The delegation also participated in the meeting of the Latin American Youth Pastoral in Peru, and will visit several Portuguese-speaking countries such as Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, São Tomé and Príncipe, and Timor-Leste.
