Although far from Portugal, part of the Portuguese Province is one salesian presence in Cape Verde, an island country in the Atlantic Ocean made up of 10 islands. Located on the island of S. Vicente, more than 1.500 students attend the Salesian School of Arts and Crafts on the island of St. Vicente in Cape Verde, at various levels of education: Primary, Secondary and Vocational/Training. The activity of the Oratory-Youth Center is well established, even on weekends when the school community and the families participate in the activities promoted by the Salesians.
On the island of Santo Antão, the Salesians have been developing a monthly Oratory in the parish.
The island of São Vicente will soon be hosting a new Salesian Oratory. The Albergue of São Vicente, in Ribeirinha, will be reborn with the Salesian School and become an educational and formative space.
